Had to call the POLICE twice

In general: We had to call the police. I’m writing this at 4:30am whole we are still in the apartment. There is construction outside at this very moment and we can’t sleep. We should have been notified of the construction at the time of booking. The construction included a extremely Large Crane, Simi trucks backing up beeping constantly to be being offloaded with steel ramps. The constant wheels rolling on the steel was exasperating. We complained to Francesco at 12:00am asking if there was a noise ordinance. He said he didn’t know and that this wasn’t his fault. Francesco then volunteered that the sound check was tomorrow for an annual event and they they are working overtime to get the Arena ready. He could have notified us at the time of booking of the setup construction and/or have it listed on the website! Francesco called the police once and it stopped around 12:30am however, it started again at 4am! We called the police ourselves around 4:30am. We arrived very late on our first night and there was no construction workers working. We asked Francesco if the construction was going to be a concern and he said it would be fine. If this is an annual event, Francesco knew about it! There has got to be a warning to the guests! Do not stay here due to the lack of respect by this man. Check for any events happening at the arena that require setup and teardown. Ask if there will be any construction vehicles that may be blocking your view. The huge yellow crane is very impressive yet was not expecting it to significantly distract from the view.
